There are many grades of PC/ABS granules, which can be divided into general grade, flame retardant grade, high heat resistance grade, high impact resistance grade, electroplating grade, low VOC grade, etc. according to performance.
The mainstream brands include LG, SABIC, BASF, domestic modified manufacturers (such as Guangdong Plastic Polymer), etc. Common grades and selection logic are as follows: general-purpose grade (such as LG LU7450), with high melt index and good fluidity, suitable for ordinary shells and decorative parts, and high cost performance; flame-retardant grade (such as LG LU7425, plastic PC/ABS-FR803), reaching the UL94 V0 level, suitable for electronic casings, charging piles, and power tools; high heat-resistant grade (such as LG LU7525), heat deformation temperature ≥120℃, suitable for parts around automobile engine compartments and high-temperature environments; high impact grade, notched impact strength ≥50KJ/㎡, suitable for structural parts that withstand impact; electroplating grade (such as LG LU7540), surface roughness Ra≤0.2μm, suitable for automobile grilles and decorative parts; low VOC grade, suitable for automobile interior parts. The core of the selection is to match the scene requirements: clarify the heat resistance, flame retardancy, impact, and appearance requirements of the product, combined with the processing technology (injection molding, extrusion), give priority to the grade that matches the product performance, and avoid cost waste caused by excessive pursuit of high parameters.
