Static is an invisible problem in many electronic settings. It rarely damages anything on the spot, but during handling, assembly, or long-term use it can stress sensitive components and pull dust onto surfaces. For parts that need controlled static-electronic component trays, wafer carriers, medical device housings, cleanroom items, and precision instrument panels-choosing a material with built-in antistatic performance is often easier than adding grounding later. Anti-static PC Resin is made for exactly this: it keeps the impact strength, heat resistance, and dimensional stability of PC while pressing surface resistivity down to the static-dissipative range, so charge cannot build up over time.
What sets it apart from standard PC is not strength or clarity but surface resistivity. With antistatic agents or conductive components, antistatic-grade PC typically lands around 10⁶ to 10⁹ ohms, in the static-dissipative zone. Standard PC, by contrast, is highly insulating, with surface resistivity often above 10¹⁴ ohms-exactly why it tends to accumulate static. The material also helps with dust, since surfaces don't attract lint and particles, which matters in clean assembly and usage environments. Depending on the application, two routes are available: migratory antistatic, which is lower in cost, and permanent conductive, which is more stable over time.
For grades, we offer antistatic solutions based on imported PC such as SABIC and Covestro, as well as domestic PC from Wanhua, Daphoon, and Lihuayi, customized to your surface resistivity target, color, and functional requirements, and we support small trial runs and full production. If needed, we can add flame retardancy, weathering resistance, and other options so antistatic performance and other properties are met at the same time.
Processing Anti-static PC Resin follows the usual PC rules-dry it thoroughly first, since moisture affects appearance and mechanical properties. How the antistatic agent is incorporated affects how stable the effect is, so blend it evenly and keep injection temperature moderate to prevent additive decomposition or blooming. Between batches, it's wise to spot-check surface resistivity to confirm the antistatic performance stays on target and doesn't decay over time.
