LLDPE is the branch of the polyethylene family that manages to combine softness with strength. Its chains are linear with short, regular branches, so it keeps the flexible, transparent feel of LDPE while delivering better tensile strength, puncture resistance, and tear resistance-making it a step up for films and flexible packaging. Linear Low Density Polyethylene Resin (LLDPE) shows up in stretch wrap, agricultural film, food packaging film, inner layers of laminates, and bags that must resist puncturing-applications that need both soft conformability and the strength to survive handling and sharp contents.

Its key difference from LDPE lies in molecular structure and mechanical properties. LDPE has long, numerous branches, offering good softness but limited strength; LLDPE has short, regular branches, giving better strength, puncture resistance, and tear resistance with good clarity. Versus HDPE, LLDPE is far softer and tougher at low temperature, but lower in rigidity and heat resistance. So choose by priority: for strong-but-flexible film and packaging, LLDPE fits better; for rigidity and load bearing, look to HDPE; for extreme softness, LDPE suits better.

For grades, we offer LLDPE solutions based on imported resins such as SABIC and Covestro, as well as domestic material from Wanhua, Daphoon, and Lihuayi, selected to your melt flow, strength, and application needs, and we support small trial runs and full production. If needed, we can add UV resistance, anti-blocking, and other additive options to better suit film or outdoor use. LLDPE processes well in blow molding, cast film, and injection molding with a reasonably wide window.

Processing Linear Low Density Polyethylene Resin (LLDPE) is forgiving on drying-most grades run as-is, though a simple dry is wise if moisture has crept in, to keep film surfaces clean. When blowing film, coordinate melt temperature and take-off speed to avoid uneven surfaces or gels. Because the branches are short and regular, crystallization behavior differs slightly from LDPE, so allow for it in tooling design. For higher clarity or extreme softness, consider blending with LDPE; for higher strength, compound with HDPE to balance softness and load capacity.
