Description
Standard PC has clear limitations. It offers weak chemical resistance, limited melt flow, and poor UV resistance. These drawbacks often show up as stress cracking in use, and yellowing or brittleness after outdoor exposure, which makes it hard to meet demanding processing and application requirements. Flame retardancy is another weak spot: standard PC only reaches UL94 V-2, below the fire safety level required in many applications.
Modified PC Pellets can be formulated with different additives to strengthen specific properties, giving buyers a wide range of choices. Depending on what the customer's product requires, Modified PC Pellets can be customized in flame retardancy, heat resistance, UV resistance, weather resistance, conductivity, antistatic performance, and more. Customers can either provide their own modification formula or simply describe the target properties, and we will develop a suitable formula for them. In both cases, our technical staff are fully involved and ready to answer any technical questions.
Modified PC Pellets also call for different processing conditions than standard PC. Mold temperature, drying temperature, and heat deflection temperature are all different, so operators need to adjust their settings during production.
